AN ACT
1 Amending Title 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) of the
2 Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, further providing for
3 immunity of witnesses.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 5947(f) of Title 42 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
8 § 5947. Immunity of witnesses.

10 (f) Criminal contempt.--In addition to civil contempt as
11 provided in subsection (e), any person who shall fail to comply
12 with an immunity order shall be guilty of criminal contempt, and
13 upon conviction thereof, shall be sentenced to pay a fine of not
14 more than [$1,000] $5,000 or to undergo imprisonment for a
15 period of not more than [one year] five years, or both.

17 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
