A RESOLUTION 1 Commending the Hahnemann Creative Arts in Therapy Program for 30 2 years of academic excellence. 3 WHEREAS, Creative arts therapists are human service 4 professionals who use arts modalities and creative processes for 5 the purpose of ameliorating disability and illness and 6 optimizing health and wellness; and 7 WHEREAS, Creative arts therapy treatment outcomes include 8 improving communications and expression and increasing physical, 9 emotional, cognitive and social functioning; and 10 WHEREAS, There are more than 10,000 creative art therapists 11 practicing around the world; and 12 WHEREAS, The Hahnemann Creative Arts in Therapy Program was 13 established in 1974 and was immediately recognized as a model 14 for Creative Arts in Therapy education; therefore be it 15 RESOLVED, That the Senate commend the Hahnemann Creative Arts 16 in Therapy Program of the Drexel University College of Nursing 17 and Health Professions for 30 years of academic excellence.
