SENATE RESOLUTION

No. 156 Session of 2007

                                  A RESOLUTION

     1  Recognizing with sadness the supreme sacrifice of Army Sergeant
     2     Eric R. Hull, who died on August 18, 2003, from injuries
     3     sustained from a roadside bomb while courageously serving our
     4     nation in Iraq.

     5     WHEREAS, Army Specialist Eric Hull, 23, a resident of
     6  Uniontown, was mortally wounded while returning with supplies
     7  from Baghdad Airport, Iraq, on August 18, 2003, when his vehicle
     8  struck a roadside bomb; and
     9     WHEREAS, An Army Reservist cook, Spec. Hull was an assigned
    10  member of the 99th Regional Support Command's 307th Military
    11  Police Company based in New Kensington, Pennsylvania; and
    12     WHEREAS, Spc. Hull has been posthumously promoted to the rank
    13  of sergeant and awarded the Order of the Purple Heart and a
    14  Bronze Star Medal; and
    15     WHEREAS, Sgt. Hull graduated from Uniontown Area High School
    16  in 1998, joining the Army Reserves between his junior and senior
    17  year of high school, and he later earned an associate degree as
    18  a chef from Westmoreland County Community College; and


     1     WHEREAS, Sgt. Hull is survived by his high school sweetheart
     2  and wife of five years, Missy Hull, their two children, Mia and
     3  Dominic, and his parents, Deborah and Raymond Hull; and
     4     WHEREAS, The Senate wishes to honor Sgt. Hull posthumously
     5  for his courageous service to our nation; therefore be it
     6     RESOLVED, That the Senate recognize with sadness the supreme
     7  sacrifice of Army Sergeant Eric R. Hull, who died on August 18,
     8  2003, from injuries sustained from a roadside bomb while
     9  courageously serving our nation in Iraq.
