AN ACT
1 Requiring certain buildings to have public restrooms available;
2 and providing penalties.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. General rule.
6 All buildings and premises open to the public for the retail
7 sale of food or merchandise with selling space in excess of
8 40,000 square feet shall have public restrooms on or adjacent to
9 the premises.
10 Section 2. Penalty.
11 A person who violates this act commits a summary offense and
12 shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more
13 than $300.
14 Section 3. Effective date.
15 This act shall take effect January 1, 1990.
