A RESOLUTION
1 Designating the week of March 18 through 24, 2002, as "Tall
2 Cedars of Lebanon Week" in Pennsylvania.
3 WHEREAS, The Tall Cedars of Lebanon of North America mark
4 their 100th anniversary on March 18, 2002; and
5 WHEREAS, The Tall Cedars of Lebanon is an organization guided
6 by devotion to fellowship existing a step beyond the
7 fraternalism of Freemasonry. While Cedarism retains the
8 traditional Masonic emphasis of equality for all mankind, it
9 recognizes man's need for fellowship of his friends and
10 neighbors; and
11 WHEREAS, The Tall Cedars of Lebanon is headquartered in
12 Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and has slightly more than 100
13 chapters throughout the eastern United States and Canada; and
14 WHEREAS, The Tall Cedars of Lebanon are deeply committed to
15 the search for a cure for neuromuscular diseases and the
16 continued support of the Muscular Dystrophy Association's
17 research programs through the Tall Cedars Foundation; and
1 WHEREAS, The Tall Cedars of Lebanon are assets to the
2 communities in which Forests are organized because of their
3 dedication to helping their members become citizens who are
4 socially aware and active in community programs; therefore be it
5 RESOLVED, That the Senate designate the week of March 18
6 through 24, 2002, as "Tall Cedars of Lebanon Week" in
7 Pennsylvania.
