A RESOLUTION 1 Congratulating the Supreme Forest of the Tall Cedars of Lebanon 2 of North America on their 100th anniversary. 3 WHEREAS, The Tall Cedars of Lebanon of North America mark 4 their 100th anniversary on March 18, 2002; and 5 WHEREAS, The Tall Cedars of Lebanon is an organization guided 6 by devotion to fellowship existing a step beyond the 7 fraternalism of Freemasonry. While Cedarism retains the 8 traditional Masonic emphasis of equality for all mankind, it 9 recognizes man's need for fellowship of his friends and 10 neighbors; and 11 WHEREAS, The Tall Cedars of Lebanon is headquartered in 12 Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and has slightly more than 100 13 chapters throughout the eastern United States and Canada; and 14 WHEREAS, Its governing body is the Supreme Forest; and 15 WHEREAS, The Tall Cedars of Lebanon are deeply committed to 16 the search for a cure for neuromuscular diseases and the 17 continued support of the Muscular Dystrophy Association's
1 research programs through the Tall Cedars Foundation; and 2 WHEREAS, The Tall Cedars of Lebanon are assets to the 3 communities in which Forests are organized because of their 4 dedication to helping their members become citizens who are 5 socially aware and active in community programs; therefore be it 6 RESOLVED, That the Senate congratulate the Supreme Forest of 7 the Tall Cedars of Lebanon of North America on their 100th 8 anniversary.
