                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
     2     Consolidated Statutes, further providing for inducement of
     3     minors to buy liquor or malt or brewed beverages.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Section 6310(c)(1) of Title 18 of the
     7  Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
     8  § 6310.  Inducement of minors to buy liquor or malt or brewed
     9             beverages.

    11     (c)  Exception for compliance checks.--
    12         (1)  An individual who is under 21 years of age may
    13     purchase, attempt to purchase, possess or transport liquor or
    14     malt or brewed beverages if all of the following apply:
    15             (i)  The individual is at least 18 years of age.
    16             (ii)  The individual is an officer, employee or
    17         intern of the Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement of the
    18         Pennsylvania State Police or of a full-time municipal

     1         police department in this Commonwealth.
     2             (iii)  The individual has completed training
     3         specified by the bureau.
     4             (iv)  The individual is acting within the scope of
     5         prescribed duties.
     6             (v)  The individual is acting under the direct
     7         control or supervision of a bureau officer who is an
     8         adult.

    10     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
