AN ACT
1 Prohibiting the performance of prefrontal lobotomies.
2 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
3 hereby enacts as follows:
4 Section 1. Performance of prefrontal lobotomy prohibited.
5 No physician licensed by the Commonwealth shall perform the
6 psychosurgical procedure known as prefrontal lobotomy or
7 leukotomy.
8 Section 2. Enforcement.
9 The Department of Health shall enforce this act.
10 Section 3. Effective date.
11 This act shall take effect in 60 days.
