AN ACT
1 Making an appropriation to the Washington County Historical
2 Society.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. The sum of $44,000 is hereby appropriated to the
6 Washington County Historical Society, Washington, Pennsylvania,
7 for the fiscal year July 1, 1997, to June 30, 1998, for the
8 purpose of preserving historical sites and heritage through
9 education.
10 Section 2. Payments to the Washington County Historical
11 Society on account of the appropriation provided in section 1
12 shall be made quarterly by the Executive Director of the
13 Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission.
14 Section 3. The Washington County Historical Society shall
15 provide full, complete and accurate information as may be
16 required by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission or
17 the chairman or the minority chairman of the Appropriations
1 Committee of the Senate or the chairman or the minority chairman
2 of the Appropriations Committee of the House of Representatives.
3 Section 4. This act shall take effect July 1, 1997, or
4 immediately, whichever is later.
