AN ACT 1 Authorizing and directing the Department of General Services, 2 with the approval of the Governor, to grant and convey to 3 Medford's, Inc., a tract of land situate in the City of 4 Chester, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. 5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 6 hereby enacts as follows: 7 Section 1. The Department of General Services, with the 8 approval of the Governor, is hereby authorized and directed on 9 behalf of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to grant and convey 10 for consideration of a price, reflecting the property's fair 11 market value, negotiated by the Commonwealth and Medford's, 12 Inc., to Medford's, Inc., the following tract of land with 13 buildings and improvements thereon erected: 14 All that certain tract of land situate in the City of 15 Chester, County of Delaware and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 16 described according to a plan of property for the Redevelopment 17 Authority of the City of Chester, Pennsylvania, made by Damon 18 and Foster, Civil Engineers, Sharon Hill, Pennsylvania, dated
1 December 21, 1962, as follows, to wit: 2 Beginning at a point as set forth by the following course and 3 distance from the northwesterly intersection of the right-of-way 4 of Market Street, as laid out 50 feet wide and Second Street, as 5 laid out 60 feet wide, north 25 degrees 13 minutes 51 seconds 6 west 272.40 feet to a point of beginning, being also a corner of 7 land of Medford's, Inc.; thence from said beginning point along 8 said land south 64 degrees 46 minutes 9 seconds west 241.63 feet 9 to a point; thence south 69 degrees 12 minutes 54 seconds west 10 168.04 feet to a point; thence north 21 degrees 2 minutes 51 11 seconds west 120 feet to a point; thence north 69 degrees 12 12 minutes 54 seconds east 163.93 feet to a point; thence north 64 13 degrees 46 minutes 9 seconds east 236.97 feet to a point on the 14 northwest side of Market Street; thence 25 degrees 13 minutes 51 15 seconds east along the westerly side of Market Street 120 feet 16 to the first mentioned point or place of beginning. 17 Containing 48,623 square feet (1.16 acres), more or less. 18 Section 2. The conveyance shall be made under and subject to 19 all easements, servitudes and rights of others, including, but 20 not confined to, streets, roadways and rights of telephone, 21 telegraph, water, electric, sewer, gas or pipeline companies, as 22 well as under and subject to any interest, estates or tenancies 23 vested in third persons, whether or not appearing of record, for 24 any portion of the land or improvements erected thereon. 25 Section 3. The deed of conveyance shall be approved as 26 provided by law and shall be executed by the Secretary of 27 General Services in the name of the Commonwealth of 28 Pennsylvania. 29 Section 4.
