AN ACT
1 Making an appropriation to the Department of Military and
2 Veterans Affairs for a State assistance program for schools
3 which sponsor Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps programs.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. The sum of $1,500,000, or as much thereof as may
7 be necessary, is hereby appropriated to the Department of
8 Military and Veterans Affairs for the fiscal year July 1, 1996,
9 to June 30, 1997, for the provision of financial assistance for
10 any school which sponsors a Department of Defense-approved
11 Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps program. The amount of
12 assistance to each school shall not exceed $35,000 per fiscal
13 year.
14 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
