1 J. Barry Stout of Bentleyville, Washington County, has 2 advocated an expanded State road network, including a 3 Mon/Fayette Expressway and a Southern Beltway connector which 4 would link to the Greater Pittsburgh International Airport. 5 (5) Senator J. It is a fitting tribute that a 10 portion of this north-south road artery be designated in his 11 honor. 12 (6) In 1985 the General Assembly passed Senate Bill 13 No.441, which was signed into law as the act of September 30, 14 1985 (P.L.240, No.61), known as the Turnpike Organization, 15 Extension and Toll Road Conversion Act.
