AN ACT
1 Amending Title 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) of the
2 Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, further providing for
3 seats of courts.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 913 of Title 42 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
8 § 913. Seats of courts.
9 [The] (a) General rule.--Except as provided under subsection
10 (b), the regular sessions of each court of common pleas shall be
11 held at the county seat of each county comprising the judicial
12 district and elsewhere as prescribed by general rule or rule of
13 court.
14 (b) Third class county.--The court of common pleas in a
15 third class county may hold its regular session in a
16 municipality adjacent to the municipality which is the county
17 seat.
18 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
