A RESOLUTION
1 Declaring that May 9 through 15, 2004, be observed as "National
2 Nursing Home Week" in Pennsylvania.
3 WHEREAS, Skilled nursing facilities throughout the nation are
4 observing "National Nursing Home Week"; and
5 WHEREAS, The dedicated professionals who work in nursing
6 homes provide critical services in the continuum of long-term
7 care for many citizens of this Commonwealth; and
8 WHEREAS, It is appropriate that Commonwealth nursing homes
9 join the nation to observe "National Nursing Home Week";
10 therefore be it
11 RESOLVED, That the Senate declare that May 9 through 15,
12 2004, be observed as "National Nursing Home Week" in
13 Pennsylvania and urge all citizens to join in recognizing the
14 significant contributions of nursing facilities and caregivers
15 in this Commonwealth and beyond.
