AN ACT
1 Amending the act of December 5, 1980 (P.L.1107, No.190),
2 entitled "An act fixing the fees to be received by the
3 Philadelphia Municipal Court in civil actions," increasing
4 the fee for initial service of process.
5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7 Section 1. Section 1(b) of the act of December 5, 1980
8 (P.L.1107, No.190), referred to as the Philadelphia Municipal
9 Court Fee Law, amended April 16, 1992 (P.L.148, No.26), is
10 amended to read:
11 Section 1. * * *
12 (b) The foregoing fee schedule does not cover any costs for
13 services performed by the sheriff or other writ server. Service
14 of initial process shall be [$15] $25. All other fees of the
15 sheriff or other writ server shall be in accordance with the
16 sheriff's fee bill applicable to Philadelphia County.
