AN ACT
1 Amending Title 65 (Public Officers) of the Pennsylvania
2 Consolidated Statutes, further providing for penalties.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. Section 714 of Title 65 of the Pennsylvania
6 Consolidated Statutes, added October 15, 1998 (P.L.729, No.93),
7 is amended to read:
8 § 714. Penalty.
9 [Any member of any agency who participates in a meeting with
10 the intent and purpose by that member of violating this act
11 commits a summary offense and shall, upon conviction, be
12 sentenced to pay a fine not exceeding $100 plus costs of
13 prosecution.] Any member of an agency who participates in a
14 meeting under section 713 (relating to business transacted at
15 unauthorized meeting void) or solicitor who advises a member to
16 participate in a meeting under section 713 with the intent and
17 purpose by that member or solicitor of violating this chapter
1 commits a summary offense and shall, upon conviction, be
2 sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $500 plus costs of
3 prosecution.
4 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
