AN ACT
1 Amending the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), entitled "An
2 act relating to the public school system, including certain
3 provisions applicable as well to private and parochial
4 schools; amending, revising, consolidating and changing the
5 laws relating thereto," further providing for tuition charges
6 for pupils of other districts.
7 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
8 hereby enacts as follows:
9 Section 1. Section 2561(6) of the act of March 10, 1949
10 (P.L.30, No.14), known as the Public School Code of 1949, added
11 December 17, 1982 (P.L.1378, No.316), is amended to read:
12 Section 2561. Tuition Charges for Pupils of Other
13 Districts.--* * *
14 (6) When the public school district administers and delivers
15 or contracts to administer and deliver the educational services
16 required by this act to a child referred to an institution,
17 pursuant to a proceeding under 42 Pa.C.S. Ch. 63 (relating to
18 juvenile matters), at the institution itself, the tuition to be
19 charged to the district of residence of such child shall be one
1 and one-half times the amount determined in accordance with
2 clauses (1) through (5), but not to exceed the actual cost of
3 the educational services provided to such child.

5 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
