AN ACT 1 Designating a portion of U.S. Route 1 in Chester County as the 2 John H. Ware III Memorial Highway. 3 The General Assembly finds and declares as follows: 4 (1) John H. Ware, III was elected to represent Chester 5 County in the Senate of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in 6 1960 and served in that capacity until 1970. 7 (2) Senator Ware then served two terms in the House of 8 Representatives of the Congress of the United States. 9 (3) Senator Ware died on July 29, 1997, at 88 years of 10 age. 11 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 12 hereby enacts as follows: 13 Section 1. John H. Ware III Memorial Highway. 14 The section of U.S. Route 1 in Chester County from the 15 intersection of School House Road and Route 1 in East Malborough 16 Township, Chester County, to the Maryland State Line in West 17 Nottingham Township, Chester County, is hereby designated the

Signs. 3 The Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain 4 appropriate signs displaying the name of the highway to traffic 5 in both directions on the highway. 6 Section 3.
