AN ACT
1 Amending the act of November 1, 1971 (P.L.495, No.113),
2 entitled, as amended, "An act providing for the compensation
3 of county officers in counties of the second through eighth
4 classes, for compensation of district attorneys in cities and
5 counties of the first class, for compensation of district
6 election officers in all counties, for the disposition of
7 fees, for filing of bonds in certain cases and for duties of
8 certain officers," further providing for salary schedules.
9 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
10 hereby enacts as follows:
11 Section 1. Section 10.1(d) of the act of November 1, 1971
12 (P.L.495, No.113), entitled, as amended, "An act providing for
13 the compensation of county officers in counties of the second
14 through eighth classes, for compensation of district attorneys
15 in cities and counties of the first class, for compensation of
16 district election officers in all counties, for the disposition
17 of fees, for filing of bonds in certain cases and for duties of
18 certain officers," added November 1, 1979 (P.L.246, No.82), is
19 amended to read:
20 Section 10.1. * * *
1 (d) No new salary schedule shall be adopted in a calendar
2 year in which the county commissioners are to be elected[.],
3 except that in counties of the second class A no new salary
4 schedule shall be adopted after the date for the primary
5 election in a calendar year in which county commissioners are to
6 be elected.

8 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
