AN ACT

 

1Amending the act of May 1, 1933 (P.L.216 No.76), entitled "An
2act relating to dentistry; defining and providing for the
3licensing and registration of dentists and dental hygienists,
4and for the revocation and suspension of such licenses and
5registrations, subject to appeal, and for their
6reinstatement; defining the powers and duties of the State
7Dental Council and Examining Board and the Department of
8Public Instruction; providing penalties; and repealing
9existing laws," further providing for anesthesia and
10abrogating a regulation.

11The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
12hereby enacts as follows:

13Section 1. Section 11.2 of the act of May 1, 1933 (P.L.216,
14No.76), known as The Dental Law, is amended by adding a
15subsection to read:

17(g) The board shall not limit the eligibility of dentists to
18use a hospital or other medical facility for anesthesia services
19or to receive payment for services rendered at a hospital or
20other medical facility.

21Section 2. The regulation of the Department of Public 

1Welfare at 55 Pa. Code § 1150.52(e) (relating to anesthesia 
2services) is abrogated to the extent that the regulation is 
3inconsistent with this act.

4Section 3. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
