                                     AN ACT

     1  Requiring containers for collecting glass and aluminum in public
     2     buildings and grounds.

     3     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     4  hereby enacts as follows:
     5  Section 1.  Short title.
     6     This act shall be known and may be cited as the Recycling
     7  Container Availability Act.
     8  Section 2.  Definitions.
     9     The following words and phrases when used in this act shall
    10  have the meanings given to them in this section unless the
    11  context clearly indicates otherwise:
    12     "Public building and grounds."  A public building and grounds
    13  owned by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or any of its
    14  political subdivisions.
    15  Section 3.  Containers for glass and aluminum.
    16     In all public buildings and grounds where a receptacle for
    17  trash is maintained for users of the public building and
    18  grounds, the owner of the public building and grounds shall

     1  maintain in close proximity to the trash receptacle a container
     2  for collecting glass and a container for collecting aluminum.
     3  Section 4.  Implementation.
     4     The provisions of this act shall be implemented within one
     5  year of the effective date of this act.
     6  Section 5.  Effective date.
     7     This act shall take effect in 60 days.
