AN ACT
1 Amending Title 45 (Legal Notices) of the Pennsylvania
2 Consolidated Statutes, further providing for additional
3 publication in legal journals.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 308(b) of Title 45 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
8 § 308. Additional publication in legal journals.

10 (b) Exceptions.--
11 (1) Subsection (a) shall not require the publication in
12 such legal newspapers of municipal ordinances, municipal or
13 county auditors' or controllers' reports, school district
14 auditors' or controllers' reports, or summaries or statements
15 thereof, mercantile appraisers' notice, advertising for bids
16 for contracts for public work, materials or supplies, or
17 lists of delinquent taxpayers.
18 (2) Publication of election notices in legal newspapers
1 shall be governed by the provisions of the act of June 3,
2 1937 (P.L.1333, No.320), known as the ["]Pennsylvania
3 Election Code.["]
4 (3) Publication under subsection (a) is not required for
5 meetings governed by section 9 of the act of July 3, 1986
6 (P.L.388, No.84), known as the Sunshine Act.
7 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
