                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     2     Statutes, further providing for parking regulations.

     3     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     4  hereby enacts as follows:
     5     Section 1.  Section 3354(d)(2) of Title 75 of the
     6  Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, amended October 4, 2002
     7  (P.L.845, No.123), is amended to read:
     8  § 3354.  Additional parking regulations.

    10     (d)  Person with a disability and disabled veterans.--
    11     * * *
    12         (2)  At the request of a person with a disability or
    13     severely disabled veteran, local authorities may erect on the
    14     highway as close as possible to the person's or veteran's
    15     place of residence a sign or signs indicating that [that
    16     place] a certain parking space is reserved for a person with
    17     a disability or severely disabled veteran who made the


     1     request to the local authority, that no parking is allowed
     2     there by others, and that any unauthorized person parking
     3     there shall be subject to a fine and may be towed. The sign
     4     or signs indicating the reserved parking space shall identify
     5     the person with a disability or severely disabled veteran
     6     entitled to use the parking space by the person's residence
     7     address. The absence of a sign stating the penalty amount
     8     indicated in subsection (f) at parking spaces designated with
     9     an international symbol for access for persons with
    10     disabilities on a sign shall not preclude the enforcement of
    11     this subsection. A vehicle may only be towed under this
    12     paragraph if the parking space is posted with a sign
    13     indicating that vehicles in violation of this section may be
    14     towed.

    16     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
