SENATE BILL

           SCHWARTZ, MARCH 23, 2001

        SENATOR TILGHMAN, APPROPRIATIONS, RE-REPORTED AS AMENDED,
           JUNE 11, 2001

                                     AN ACT

     1  Making an appropriation to the African-American Museum in
     2     Philadelphia for operating expenses.

     3     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     4  hereby enacts as follows:
     5     Section 1.  The sum of $341,000 $351,000 is hereby             <--
     6  appropriated to the African-American Museum, Philadelphia, for
     7  the fiscal year July 1, 2001, to June 30, 2002, for operating
     8  expenses, including maintenance and the purchase of apparatus,
     9  supplies and equipment.
    10     Section 2.  Payments to the African-American Museum in
    11  Philadelphia on account of the appropriation provided in section
    12  1 shall be made quarterly by the Executive Director of the
    13  Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission.
    14     Section 3.  The African-American Museum in Philadelphia shall
    15  provide full, complete and accurate information as may be
    16  required by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission or
    17  the chairman or the minority chairman of the Appropriations

     1  Committee of the Senate or the chairman or the minority chairman
     2  of the Appropriations Committee of the House of Representatives.
     3     Section 4.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2001, or
     4  immediately, whichever is later.
