AN ACT 1 Making an appropriation to Temple University for the Temple 2 University School of Podiatric Medicine, Philadelphia. 3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 4 hereby enacts as follows: 5 Section 1. The sum of $1,382,000 is hereby appropriated to 6 Temple University for the Temple University School of Podiatric 7 Medicine, Philadelphia, for the fiscal year July 1, 1999, to 8 June 30, 2000, for instruction in the Doctor of Podiatric 9 Medicine program. 10 Section 2. Payments made to Temple University for the Temple 11 University School of Podiatric Medicine on account of the 12 appropriation made in section 1 shall be made pursuant to and 13 subject to the provisions of sections 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 14 of the act of 1999 (P.L. , No. ), entitled "A 15 supplement to the act of November 30, 1965 (P.L.843, No.355), 16 entitled 'An act providing for the establishment and operation 17 of Temple University as an instrumentality of the Commonwealth
1 to serve as a State-related university in the higher education 2 system of the Commonwealth; providing for change of name; 3 providing for the composition of the board of trustees; terms of 4 trustees, and the power and duties of such trustees; providing 5 for preference to Pennsylvania residents in tuition; providing 6 for public support and capital improvements; authorizing 7 appropriations in amounts to be fixed annually by the General 8 Assembly; providing for the auditing of accounts of expenditures 9 from said appropriations; authorizing the issuance of bonds 10 exempt from taxation within the Commonwealth; requiring the 11 President to make an annual report of the operations of Temple 12 University,' making appropriations for carrying the same into 13 effect; providing for a basis for payments of such 14 appropriations; and providing a method of accounting for the 15 funds appropriated and for certain fiscal information 16 disclosure." 17 Section 3.
