AN ACT
1 Making an appropriation to the Civic Light Opera of Pittsburgh
2 for the School of Theatre Arts.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. The sum of $50,000 is hereby appropriated to the
6 Civic Light Opera of Pittsburgh for the School of Theatre Arts
7 for the fiscal year July 1, 1989, to June 30, 1990, for the
8 operation and maintenance of the school.
9 Section 2. Payments to the Civic Light Opera of Pittsburgh
10 shall be made by the Secretary of Education in equal quarterly
11 payments.
12 Section 3. The Civic Light Opera of Pittsburgh shall provide
13 such information as may be necessary to carry out the provisions
14 of this act and in such form and manner as the Department of
15 Education shall prescribe.
16 Section 4. The Civic Light Opera of Pittsburgh shall present
17 its financial statements and report in accordance with generally
1 accepted accounting procedures as presented in the "Higher
2 Education Finance Manual (1975)" and the "Commonwealth of
3 Pennsylvania Budget Instructions for the State System of Higher
4 Education, State-Related Universities and Non-State-Related
5 Colleges and Universities."
6 Section 5. This act shall take effect July 1, 1989, or
7 immediately, whichever is later.
