AN ACT
1 Authorizing cities of the second class A to impose property
2 maintenance ordinances.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. Property maintenance ordinance.
6 A city of the second class A may impose property maintenance
7 ordinances and any standard or nationally recognized property
8 maintenance code. The property maintenance ordinance may provide
9 penalties of fines not exceeding one per month and limited to no
10 more than $1,000 for the first two violations of the same
11 subsection of such ordinance and not exceeding $10,000 for the
12 third and any subsequent violation of the same subsection of
13 such ordinance.
14 Section 2. Effective date.
15 This act shall take effect in 60 days.
