AN ACT
1 Making an appropriation from the General Fund to the Department
2 of Public Welfare for cash and crisis grants through the Low-
3 Income Heating and Energy Assistance Program for the fiscal
4 year beginning July 1, 2005.
5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7 Section 1. The sum of $80,000,000 is hereby appropriated
8 from the General Fund to the Department of Public Welfare for
9 cash and crisis grants through the Low-Income Heating and Energy
10 Assistance Program for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2005.
11 Section 2. The appropriation under this act shall be in
12 addition to any appropriation made pursuant to the act of July
13 7, 2005 (P.L. , No.1A), known as the General Appropriation Act
14 of 2005, for the same or similar purpose, regardless of whether
15 such appropriation in that act involves Federal or State moneys.
16 Section 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
