AN ACT
1 Making appropriations to the Department of Agriculture for the
2 State Food Purchase Program and the Farmers Market Nutrition
3 Program for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2004.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Appropriation.
7 (a) The sum of $17,500,000 is hereby appropriated to the
8 Department of Agriculture for the State Food Purchase Program
9 for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2004.
10 (b) The sum of $2,000,000 is hereby appropriated to the
11 Department of Agriculture for the Farmers Market Nutrition
12 Program for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2004.
13 Section 2. Construction.
14 The sums appropriated in section 1 shall be construed as a
15 supplement to the State appropriation to the Department of
16 Agriculture set forth in the act of , 2004 (P.L.
17 , No. ), known as the General Appropriation Act of 2004.
1 Section 3. Effective date.
2 This act shall take effect July 1, 2004, or immediately,
3 whichever occurs later.
