AN ACT
1Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2Statutes, further providing for special motorcycle plates for
3veterans.
4The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5hereby enacts as follows:
6Section 1. Section 1361 of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
7Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
8§ 1361. Special motorcycle plates [for] related to veterans.
9(a) Honorably discharged veterans.--Upon application of any
10person who is an honorably discharged veteran of the armed
11forces of the United States, or a reserve component of the armed
12forces as defined in 51 Pa.C.S. § 7301 (relating to
13definitions), accompanied by a fee of $20 which shall be in
14addition to the annual registration fee and by such
15documentation as the department shall require, the department
16shall issue to the person a special registration plate
17designating the vehicle as belonging to a person who is a
1veteran. The special registration plate may be used only on a
2motorcycle.
3(b) Honoring our veterans.--Upon application of any person,
4accompanied by a fee of $35 which shall be in addition to the
5annual registration fee and by such documentation as the
6department shall require, the department shall issue to the
7person a special registration plate designating the motorcycle
8as belonging to a person who is honoring veterans of the armed
9forces of the United States. The special registration plate may
10be used only on a motorcycle. The Veterans' Trust Fund shall
11receive $15 of the fee paid by the applicant for the plate.
12Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
