           COSTA, TILGHMAN, MOWERY, MUSTO, KASUNIC, WAUGH AND THOMPSON,
           NOVEMBER 15, 1999

        REFERRED TO LOCAL GOVERNMENT, NOVEMBER 15, 1999

                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending the act of May 1, 1933 (P.L.103, No.69), entitled, as
     2     reenacted and amended, "An act concerning townships of the
     3     second class; and amending, revising, consolidating and
     4     changing the law relating thereto," providing for pledges or
     5     donations by townships to conservation districts.

     6     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     7  hereby enacts as follows:
     8     Section 1.  The act of May 1, 1933 (P.L.103, No.69), known as
     9  The Second Class Township Code, reenacted and amended November
    10  9, 1995 (P.L.350, No.60), is amended by adding a section to
    11  read:
    12     Section 1546.1.  Conservation Districts.--The board of
    13  supervisors may pledge or make donations to conservation
    14  districts. The board of supervisors has the authority to
    15  appropriate moneys for this purpose.
    16     Section 2.  This act shall take effect immediately.
