AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, providing for suspension of toll collection under
3 certain circumstances by the Pennsylvania Turnpike
4 Commission.
5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7 Section 1. Chapter 89 of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
8 Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subchapter to read:
9 SUBCHAPTER C

12 8935. Suspension of toll collection during delays.
13 § 8935. Suspension of toll collection during delays.
14 The commission shall suspend the collection of tolls at an
15 interchange of the turnpike if vehicular traffic at the
16 interchange is so congested as to result in the delay of 15
17 minutes or more from the time a vehicle stops or waits in a line
18 of traffic at the interchange to pay the toll to the time the
1 vehicle arrives at the toll booth to pay the toll.
2 Section 2. All acts or parts of acts are repealed to the
3 extent they are inconsistent with this act.
4 Section 3. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
