AN ACT
1 Making an appropriation to the Historical Society of Western
2 Pennsylvania for operating expenses.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. The sum of $300,000 is hereby appropriated to the
6 Historical Society of Western Pennsylvania for the fiscal year
7 July 1, 1989, to June 30, 1990, for operating expenses,
8 including maintenance and the purchase of apparatus, supplies
9 and equipment.
10 Section 2. Payments to the Historical Society of Western
11 Pennsylvania on account of the appropriation provided in section
12 1 shall be made quarterly by the Executive Director of the
13 Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission.
14 Section 3. The Historical Society of Western Pennsylvania
15 shall provide such information as may be necessary to carry out
16 the provisions of this act and in such form and manner as the
17 Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission shall prescribe.
1 Section 4. This act shall take effect immediately.
