AN ACT
1 Amending Title 5 (Athletics and Sports) of the Pennsylvania
2 Consolidated Statutes, further providing for definitions and
3 for standards for issuance of licenses and permits.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 302 of Title 5 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a definition to read:
8 § 302. Definitions.
9 Subject to additional definitions contained in subsequent
10 provisions of this subpart which are applicable to specific
11 provisions of this subpart, the following words and phrases when
12 used in this subpart shall have the meanings given to them in
13 this section unless the context clearly indicates otherwise:

15 "HIV." The human immunodeficiency virus.

17 Section 2. Section 910(b) of Title 5 is amended by adding a
18 paragraph to read:
1 § 910. Standards for issuance of licenses and permits.

3 (b) Prerequisites.--Before being granted any permit or
4 license, the applicant must establish that he is:

6 (7) Negative for the presence of the HIV virus,
7 established by an original or certified laboratory test
8 result, performed within the last 30 days.

10 Section 3. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
