                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending the act of April 8, 1982 (P.L.303, No.85), entitled "An
     2     act establishing fees which shall be charged by a
     3     prothonotary in a county of the second class," increasing
     4     certain fees.

     5     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     6  hereby enacts as follows:
     7     Section 1.  Section 2(5) and (9) of the act of April 8, 1982
     8  (P.L.303, No.85), known as the Second Class County Prothonotary
     9  Fee Act, are amended to read:
    10  Section 2.  Fee schedule.
    11     The fees to be received by the prothonotary of the court of
    12  common pleas of a county of the second class shall be as
    13  follows:
    14         * * *
    15         (5)  Commencement of actions.--Commencement
    16     of any civil action by writ of summons,
    17     complaint, amicable action, petition or
    18     otherwise including Actions in Assumpsit,


     1     Trespass, Ejectment, Quiet Title, Replevin,
     2     Mandamus, Quo Warranto, Divorce or Annulment of
     3     Marriage, Mortgage Foreclosure, Ground Rent
     4     Foreign Attachment, Fraudulent Debtor's Attach-
     5     ment Equity, Partition of Real Property,
     6     Actions to Prevent Waste, Actions upon
     7     Mechanics' Liens, Class Actions, Actions
     8     involving Minors, Declaratory Actions, Amicable
     9     Actions, except Complaint in Confession of
    10     Judgment (see "Judgments") and Commencement of
    11     Commonwealth Tax Liens (see "Liens"). This is a
    12     composite fee which includes the filing of all
    13     plaintiff's pleadings discovery or any other
    14     paper not otherwise provided for in this act
    15     except trial and trial listings, judgment,
    16     execution, attachment, revival and post judg-

    19         (9)  Fictitious individual and corporate
    20     names.--
    21             (i)  The filing of an application for
    22         the registration of an individual
    23         fictitious name...........................[$40.00] $41.50

    26             (iii)  The filing of an application for
    27         the registration of a fictitious corporate
