AN ACT 1 Amending Title 15 (Corporations and Unincorporated Associations) 2 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, further providing 3 for fees. 4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 5 hereby enacts as follows: 6 Section 1. Section 153(a)(8) of Title 15 of the Pennsylvania 7 Consolidated Statutes is amended to read: 8 § 153. Fee schedule. 9 (a) General rule.--The fees of the Corporation Bureau of the 10 Department of State, including fees for the public acts and 11 transactions of the Secretary of the Commonwealth administered 12 through the bureau, and of county filing officers under Title 13 13 (relating to commercial code), shall be as follows: 14 * * * 15 (8) Uniform Commercial Code: 16 (i) Financing statement - per debtor 17 name: 18 (A) State fee..................... 12
1 (B) County fee.................... 48 2 (ii) Each ancillary transaction: 3 (A) State fee..................... 12 4 (B) County fee.................... 48 5 (iii) Search - per debtor name: 6 (A) State fee..................... 12 7 (B) County fee.................... 48 8 (iv) Additional fee for each financing 9 statement found and for each statement of 10 assignment reported therein: 11 (A) State fee..................... 1 12 (B) County fee.................... 4 13 (v) For each financing statement or 14 ancillary transaction not filed on standard 15 forms approved by the Department of State, 16 in addition to the fee provided above, 17 there shall be charged a per filing fee of: 18 (A) State fee..................... 28 19 (B) County fee.................... 112 20 (vi) Seventy-five percent of the 21 county fees collected pursuant to 22 subparagraphs (i) through (v) shall be 23 payable to the Commonwealth and shall be 24 deposited in the General Fund. 25 (vii) Beginning on January 1, 1994, 26 and each January 1 thereafter, the county 27 fees under paragraph (8) shall be increased 28 by the percentage of increase in the 29 Consumer Price Index for Urban Workers for 30 the immediate preceding calendar year which 19980S1478B2094 - 2 -
1 shall be published in the Pennsylvania 2 Bulletin annually by the Supreme Court on 3 or before the preceding November 30. This 4 subparagraph shall expire January 1, 2001. 5 (viii) Notwithstanding the provisions 6 of this paragraph, the fee for a financing 7 statement, ancillary transaction or search 8 for transactions involving only consumer 9 goods as defined in 13 Pa.C.S. § 9109 10 (relating to classification of goods: 11 "consumer goods"; "equipment"; "farm 12 products"; "inventory") shall be $12. 13 * * * 14 Section 2.
