| AN ACT |
| |
1 | Amending Title 34 (Game) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated |
2 | Statutes, further providing for shooting at or causing injury |
3 | to human beings. |
4 | The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania |
5 | hereby enacts as follows: |
6 | Section 1. Section 2522(c) and (e) of Title 34 of the |
7 | Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes are amended to read: |
8 | § 2522. Shooting at or causing injury to human beings. |

10 | (c) Denial of privileges.--In addition to the penalty |
11 | imposed pursuant to subsection (b), any person who shoots at, |
12 | injures or kills a human being shall be denied the privilege to |
13 | hunt or take game or wildlife anywhere in this Commonwealth, |
14 | with or without license, for the following periods: |
15 | (1) To shoot at but not hit or injure or to shoot at and |
16 | cause bodily injury to a human being, the denial shall be for |
17 | a period of [two] five years. |
18 | (2) To shoot at and cause serious bodily injury to a |

1 | human being, the denial shall be for a period of not less |
2 | than [five] 20 years nor more than [ten] 30 years. |
3 | (3) To kill a human being, the denial shall be for [a |
4 | period of 15 years] life. |
5 | (4) An individual prohibited from carrying a firearm |
6 | under either Federal or State law who violates subsection (a) |
7 | shall be denied the privilege to hunt or take game or |
8 | wildlife anywhere in this Commonwealth for life. |

10 | (e) Imprisonment for violation of sentence.--It is unlawful |
11 | for a person to hunt or take game or wildlife or attempt to hunt |
12 | or take game or wildlife, with or without license, contrary to a |
13 | sentence imposed under subsection (b). Upon conviction, the |
14 | person shall be sentenced to undergo imprisonment for a period |
15 | of not less than [three] 12 months nor more than [six] 24 |
16 | months. |
