AN ACT
1 Amending the act of May 11, 1949 (P.L.1116, No.330), entitled,
2 as amended, "An act to regulate deliveries of light fuel oil
3 to domestic consumers; conferring powers and imposing duties
4 on the Department of Justice and the inspectors of weights
5 and measures of the several counties and cities; and
6 prescribing penalties," regulating minimum delivery
7 requirements set by vendors participating in the Federal Low-
8 Income Home Energy Assistance Program.
9 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
10 hereby enacts as follows:
11 Section 1. The act of May 11, 1949 (P.L.1116, No.330),
12 entitled, as amended, "An act to regulate deliveries of light
13 fuel oil to domestic consumers; conferring powers and imposing
14 duties on the Department of Justice and the inspectors of
15 weights and measures of the several counties and cities; and
16 prescribing penalties," is amended by adding a section to read:
17 Section 3.1. Participation in Federal Low-Income Home Energy
18 Assistance Program.--Vendors of light fuel oil who are
19 participating in the Federal Low-Income Home Energy Assistance
20 Program, designed to help lessen the impact of the high cost of
21 energy on low-income families and individuals, shall not set a
1 minimum delivery requirement which would bar delivery to a
2 domestic consumer qualified under the program who has at least
3 fifty dollars ($50.00) credit remaining in his account.
4 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
