AN ACT
1 Amending the act of July 1, 1978 (P.L.584, No.109), entitled "An
2 act establishing an agency to create the linkage necessary
3 for the planning of an economic development system for
4 Pennsylvania, and making an appropriation," extending the
5 expiration date.
6 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
7 hereby enacts as follows:
8 Section 1. Section 7 of the act of July 1, 1978 (P.L.584,
9 No.109), known as the Milrite Act, amended May 31, 1984
10 (P.L.378, No.77), is amended to read:
11 Section 7. Limited duration.
12 The council shall continue with its statutory function and
13 duties until [June 30, 1990] December 31, 1994, when it shall
14 terminate and go out of existence unless reestablished or
15 continued by the General Assembly. Evaluation, review,
16 termination, reestablishment and continuation of the agency
17 shall be conducted pursuant to the provisions of the act of
18 December 22, 1981 (P.L.508, No.142), known as the "Sunset Act."
1 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
