AN ACT
1 Making an appropriation to the Department of Aging for the
2 Senior Community Center Capital Assistance Program.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. The sum of $4,000,000 is hereby appropriated from
6 the General Fund to the Department of Aging for the fiscal year
7 July 1, 2000, to June 30, 2001, to provide for the operation of
8 the Senior Community Center Capital Assistance Program. Moneys
9 appropriated shall be used to provide in-home services for
10 senior citizens and for new construction, renovation and
11 equipment for senior community centers.
12 Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2000, or
13 immediately, whichever is later.
