AN ACT 1 Amending the act of August 9, 1955 (P.L.323, No.130), entitled 2 "An act relating to counties of the third, fourth, fifth, 3 sixth, seventh and eighth classes; amending, revising, 4 consolidating and changing the laws relating thereto," 5 providing for election of one jury commissioner. 6 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 7 hereby enacts as follows: 8 Section 1. Section 401(a) of the act of August 9, 1955 9 (P.L.323, No.130), known as The County Code, amended November 10 26, 1968 (P.L.1099, No.341), is amended to read: 11 Section 401. Enumeration of Elected Officers.--(a) In each 12 county, there shall be the following officers elected by the 13 qualified electors of the county: 14 (1) Three county commissioners. 15 (2) Three auditors or, in all counties where the office of 16 auditor has heretofore been or shall hereafter be abolished, one 17 controller. 18 (3) One treasurer. 19 (4) One coroner.

2 (6) One prothonotary.
3 (7) One clerk of the court of quarter sessions and of the
4 court of oyer and terminer.
5 (8) One clerk of the orphans' court.
6 (9) One register of wills.
7 (10) One sheriff.
8 (11) One district attorney.
