Subject: | MONTHLY STATEMENTS TO GAMING PATRONS (FORMER HB 587 OF 2011) |
In the near future, I will be reintroducing legislation that would give the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board additional regulatory authority. Former House Bill 587 would require licensed gaming entities to issue monthly statements to patrons who have total rewards cards. These cards track the amount of money and time spent gambling, and are used by the gaming industry to determine complimentary services for their patrons. The monthly statements would list the patrons’ gambling winnings and losses. With gambling addiction a serious social problem, warning other family members of the addiction is a responsibility that makes sense.
