Subject: Medical Safety Automation Grant (Former HB 1065)
 
In the near future I plan to introduce legislation which will provide for grants to local hospitals and health care centers to assist them with the high costs of establishing medical safety automation systems. An effort to help defray the start up costs of these systems will allow facilities to implement automated programs to reduce the incidence of medical errors.

My bill also contains a reimbursement program for facilities that have already proceeded forward with implementing systems so that they can be rewarded for having chosen to move in the right direction.
