Subject: | Proposed Resolution Law Month in Pennsylvania |
April 17, 2013 TO: All House Members FROM: Rep. Frank Burns SUBJECT: Proposed Resolution - Law Month in Pennsylvania In the very near future, I plan to introduce a resolution to designate May as Law Month in Pennsylvania designating May 1, 2013 as “Law Day”. The theme for this year’s celebration is Realizing the Dream: Equality for All. This event has been designated as a day to educate people of all ages about the legal system and to celebrate liberty, justice and equality. We will teach our children about the importance of civil and human rights and promoting equality for all under the law. Pennsylvania observes Law Day by focusing on our children from Kindergarten through college levels. Our judges and lawyers visit with our schools educating our children about their legal rights and responsibilities. The Pennsylvania Bar Association is in its 13th year of participating along with county bar associations across the Commonwealth. I hope that you will join me in co-sponsoring this important resolution. FB:ms |
