Subject: Fee Schedule and Multiple Surgical Procedures
 
Please join me in co-sponsoring legislation which I am planning to reintroduce that would require health care insurers to adequately compensate surgeons for multiple procedures performed during the same operation.

Under this proposal, insurers would have to use the same payment policy utilized by Medicare. The bill requires insurers to disclose their fee schedules and the methodology upon which fees are based.
