Senate of Pennsylvania
Session of 2013 - 2014 Regular Session

MEMORANDUM

Posted: March 20, 2013 03:13 PM
From: Senator Lisa Baker
To: All Senate members
Subject: Loyalty Day Resolution

I invite you to co-sponsor a Senate Resolution designating May 1, 2013, as Loyalty Day in Pennsylvania.

Loyalty Day was first commemorated in 1959 under President Dwight D. Eisenhower to reaffirm our allegiance to the United States and to acknowledge this nation’s unique heritage and freedoms.

The state resolution is being introduced on behalf of the Department of Pennsylvania, Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, as they hold their annual Loyalty Day ceremony at the state Capitol and in acknowledgment of their continued service to our nation.

Thank you for your consideration.

Introduced as SR108
