Subject: | Resolution Recognizing the 20th Anniversary of the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition |
Please join us in recognizing the 20th Anniversary of the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition (PBCC) by co-sponsoring with us a resolution declaring May 7th, 2013 as Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition Day in Pennsylvania. PBCC was formed in 1993 by a dedicated, active and effective group of breast cancer survivors who were united by the common mission of finding a cure for breast cancer. Throughout its 20-year history the PBCC has evolved into a powerful organization committed to education, outreach and advocacy on the issue of breast cancer and an influential voice and advocate for breast cancer survivors and their families in all corners of the state. The Coalition serves all women throughout Pennsylvania through its unique programs, such as Friends Like Me, Refunds for Research, and 67 Women, 67 Counties: Facing Breast Cancer in Pennsylvania traveling photo exhibit. It empowers survivors and all women throughout the Commonwealth with its legislative advocacy, and inspires attendees at the PA Breast Cancer Coalition Conference held each October. |
