Subject: Probation, Parole and Community Supervision Week
 
I will soon introduce a resolution designating July 21 – 27, 2013 as "Probation, Parole and Community Supervision Week" throughout Pennsylvania. Community corrections is an essential part of the criminal justice system in ensuring the highest standard of public safety and helping offenders lead productive lives through rehabilitation and supervision. Thousands of community corrections professionals throughout the Commonwealth work to protect the public from criminal activity while upholding the law with diligence and dignity.

Please join me in co-sponsoring this resolution in recognition of Pennsylvania’s community corrections professionals.
