Subject: Resolution-Appeal necessary to preserve states’ right to define marriage (SR403)
 
I will be introducing resolution to urge the executive branch to appeal the decision in the case of Whitewood v. Wolf , in which the federal district court overturned Pennsylvania’s Defense of Marriage Act.

Since the adoption of the federal Constitution, states have always had the full power to define marriage and divorce. I believe the court decision wrongfully overturns this fundamental principle, and must be appealed to avoid consequences that could extend even beyond the marriage issue.

Please join me in sponsoring this Resolution to fight for states’ rights.
