Subject: | Co Sponsorship: Honoring the Life of Chuck Noll |
This week, Senator Smith and I plan to introduce a resolution honoring the life and contributions of the legendary Pittsburgh Steelers coach Chuck Noll, who passed away in his sleep on Friday night, June 13, 2014. No head coach in National Football League history has ever enjoyed as much success as Charles Noll, and the only coach to win four Super Bowl trophies. Furthermore, he was able to achieve this over a six-year span in the 1970’s allowing the Pittsburgh Steelers to become one of the most dominating teams of the National Football League. Overall, Mr. Noll’s 209 victories in 23 seasons helped Pittsburgh to become the “City of Champions.” If you would like to join me in honoring Chuck Noll’s achievements, please do so by the close of business on Tuesday, June 17, 2014. |
